As a wedding planner I can say I have seen my fair share of escort cards lined up in alphabetical order. BORING and so passe! Sorry, but I siad it!
The wedding is a celebration for the two of you but keeping elements of the wedding a notch above the norm keeps the guest intrigued. It's entertainment for the guest!
I am happy to share with you some past weddings with Felicia Events that were fun creating with our clients!
This very first one is from Tony & Kevin wedding that took place at Sugar Pine Point/ Ehrman Mansion. These two were very creative and it was fun throwing ideas out to them. The finished product was perfect on the BIG wedding day!
Keep in mind that it is way easier for your guest to find their name if you list them alphabetically with table number listed on the right. When you list your guest under a table number it takes longer to search for their name.
Here is a couple of winter inspirations. The one couple loves to ski so they had ski tickets lined up with decor of antique snow shoes and sleds that I had found in the antique store. These served a double purpose because the antiques will be used in their second home here at Lake Tahoe.
Instead of table number we had the table named after ski runs within Lake Tahoe area!
These were made by Papermoon in Reno
This wedding theme was based on "Winter Wonderland". Tree branches of silver that sat within tall clear vases on mirror stands with fake snow caressing between which gave a look of a fresh snow storm. (It actually felt like snow.) The kids loved it! The custom snow flakes made by Ashley of an Old Soul Creative did an outstanding job on the escort snow flakes.
This wedding was on the beach in Incline Village at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe. The bride wanted a relaxed feeling but not to rustic. We had this beautiful gold matallic framed chalk board listing guest name with little accents to mimic the wedding invitation. Red Carpet Events & Design art depart made this.

This wedding had vibrant colors! It really represented the beginning of summer with happiness! We had French doors with glass panels at the entrance of the ballroom. The pen writing had to have POP of color so it stood out with the draping that was behind. This wedding to place at Edgewood Golf Course in South Lake Tahoe. The company who made the idea come true was Celadon Events.

Off the hook fun! I had so much fun collaborating with the bride Natasha who is an interior decorator. Literally there was five (Thran's Flowers, Celadon Events, Felicia Events, Bride and Mom) of us women sitting at a table tossing around ideas! "A man nightmare of a bunch of women chit chatting it up about pretty things". The actual person who made these by hand was Fanciful Flowers. As the guest entered in to the hallway the gold trees were graced with these paper flowers. And yes we had them hanging in alphabetical order.
This wedding was in October but the bride didn't want to go with your typical fall colors. She wanted to stay with blue and light pinks ( By the way which happens to 2016 Pantone Colors: Rose Quartz and Serenity.) The frames were of raw wood exposure that gave a hew of pink against the black chalk board.
Kudos to artist: Liz and owner of Celadon Events

One of my fav's is the mirrors listing the guest name. These pictures are from my I-phone so not really magical but to give an idea for your celebration.
I am working on another idea for an upcoming wedding taking place this coming July! So keep your eyes peeled on Instagram -Felicia Gantar.
I hope this inspired you in getting the wheels turning! Remember be creative but keep it simple for your guest!
