Felicia Events sat down with Danell Perlman of Reno Tahoe Limousine to talk about the services they offer and
how they can make a special day go off without a hitch.
Felicia Events: Tell us a bit about Reno Tahoe Limousine. What services do you offer?
Danell Perlman: Reno Tahoe Limousine was started as Royal Limousine in Truckee, California, in 1987 by my husband Ron and we moved to Reno in 2008. We specialize in private transportation for corporate events and special occasions. We have a fleet of 26 vehicles comprised of sedans, SUVs, vans, limousines, and mini buses. Whatever a client needs, we can provide!
FE: Transportation might not be at the top of a couple's to do list, especially with all the other details to worry about on a wedding day. What can couples do to ensure they've got transportation for themselves and their guests on the big day?
DP: Plan ahead! Transportation is often at the bottom of the totem pole. It is the last thing that people think about, but transportation can make or break an event.
FE: What can a couple expect when booking their transportation with Reno Tahoe Limousine?
DP: We take the time, over phone or email, to understand the needs of our clients. We focus on customer service and we go above and beyond to help our clients. Their satisfaction is our main focus. We can make itineraries for the entire day, outlining travel time, vehicle capacities, and estimated costs so our clients understand our suggestions. We always try to accommodate the most people in the fewest number of vehicles to keep costs down. Our main goal is to guide our clients throughout the process of booking transportation, especially because it is often one of the biggest expenses in an event.
FE: What’s the craziest request you've had when it comes to transportation?
DP: I think our first out-of-area wedding request was the craziest. It was a wedding on a mountain top in Yosemite, only accessible by a rough one-way trail. All we had to go on was a topography map with an “X” marking the site. We had to rent 20 SUVs to take guests, 3 at a time, from Lee Vining to this remote summit. And to make matters worse, it had snowed the night before. But we got everyone to the ceremony safely and on time.
FE: Do you have any unique services you can offer a couple?
DP: Our most unique attribute is our service. We will grant any request we are able and will always explain a client’s option. Plus, weddings get a complimentary bottle of champagne.
FE: How far in advance should couples book transportation?
DP: At least six months, especially if a couple has a specific vehicle in mind. As soon as a couple has a venue and a rough attendance estimate, they should call us.
FE: Anything else you'd like to share?
DP: Our chauffeurs come with many years of experience and they consistently provide 5-star service. To them, it is not just a job – they take it seriously. This extends to our administrative staff as well. We are constantly checking in with clients to ensure they are receiving the personalized service they deserve. Our contracts with many high-end hotels in the Tahoe area show us that our attention to detail makes us stand out among our competition.
