Pinterest is every bride's favorite, creating inspiration boards for their wedding. Now that the New Year is only days away here is what 2017 will be trending!
Pinterest conducted a study to figure out what might be popular in the coming months. Based on recent spikes in searches for particular terms, the social site broke it down to the top 10.
1. Hygge, pronounced "hoo-ga," is the Danish term for living simply. This trend fits right in with the Sierra mountains along with the Pantone color of the year.
This trend will be easy to incorporate because Lake Tahoe reflects down to earth simple living. Gathering around campfires with family and friends enjoying S'mores and snuggling up with a soft blanket!
2. Metallics - Copper will be dominating this coming year. This will be with votives cascading down the table glistening with glimmer. Specialty cocktail for the Moscow mule! Cement vases dipped in copper with simple greenery. Copper chargers at each place setting.
3. Marble - Either the real thing or even with print. Marble effect as the background on wedding invites. BBJ linen has a new Marble table cloth. Marble vessels on the tabletop.
4. Climbing Plants- Can be used as a backdrop for a wedding ceremony gracefully falling down. Another idea is having a partition wall behind a lounge area with the plants hanging.
5. Tabletop Terrarium- These will bring a sense of fairy-like feeling to the table with a cozy earthy feeling of relaxation.
6. Acrylic - Popular is with the ghost chairs or by using coffee tables in a lounge area. Or by using a piece on the center table with lighting underneath and climbing plants cascading over it.
7. Is the "Fitz" cocktail chair. - This can be a statement piece for the head table for the bride and groom in green or blue that brings the feeling of Lake Tahoe natural colors.
8. Velvet- Can be used as a table cloth, pillows in the lounge area, seat cushions or a panel piece that displays your escort cards.
9. Navy is the New black- Formal wear for the gentlemen in Navy is coming into play already! Rich color of Navy Sequin by Creative Coverings can be used as a table cloth with lighter tones for centerpiece and napkins.
10. Reclaimed Wood- This has been in play for some time here in the Sierra's with Farm Tables made with reclaimed wood. Another idea is making that partition wall for your climbing plants.
I could go on and on about ideas that will incorporate all in one with these top ten trends for 2017. Most of these trends have been around but to see how 2017 will put a new spin on it will be fun!
